Via Fraters Gophertas, Brian Lambert is sick and tired of science:
It’s time to stop pandering to intentionally ill-informed partisans and steadily advance the public understanding of climate change. Newspapers also must stop playing the balanced-debate game and start ignoring the propaganda of partisan political columnists.
Like the well-informed non-partisan kind of guy he is, Lambert trots out the old liberal scratching post Sean Hannity, and even gives a tip of the hat to local denialist, Joe Soucheray. He did not, however, mention any of these folks. Mentioning dissenting scientists would have eroded his laughable argument that there is no such thing.
I wonder if Lambert, et al, feel any responsibility for this tragedy:
A North Pole expedition meant to bring attention to global warming was called off after one of the explorers got frostbite. The explorers, Ann Bancroft and Liv Arnesen, on Saturday called off what was intended to be a 530-mile trek across the Arctic Ocean after Arnesen suffered frostbite in three of her toes, and extreme cold temperatures drained the batteries in some of their electronic equipment...
"They were experiencing temperatures that weren't expected with global warming," (Ann) Atwood said.
Someday, one of these Medieval Warming Period DenialistsTM, like Lambert, is going to get somebody killed. Maybe he should have read the NYT today. Even the believers are uncomfortable with Lambert's brand of global-warming-denial-is-no-different-than-holocaust-denial censorship nonsense.
