Call it payback for last year's Gopher sweep in North Dakota.
The Fighting Sioux just finished a two-game sweep of the Gophers; 5-3, 7-3, in Minnesota.
Ouch.
All of a sudden we have goalie problems, the best example a 170 ft. clearing attempt that Jeff Frazee let bounce in. But Briggs was no better, giving up 9 goals this weekend.
Defense isn't taking care of business in the crease, and forwards aren't going to the net, suddenly can't pass to save their lives, and are trying to do everything themselves.
Easily the worst weekend of the season for the Gophers. I don't know if I can take too many more like it.
