Molly Ivins Can Speak for Herself

Thanks to Michelle Malkin for bringing this Molly Ivins column to my attention. Molly, who is a big girl now, is not happy with the "radical right," "neo-cons," and "religious right," or whatever they are called, because Molly Ivins doesn't like labels.

I am not "you liberals" or "you people on the left who always ..."

My name is Molly Ivins, and I can speak for myself, thank you. I don't need Rush Limbaugh or Karl Rove to tell me what I believe.

In other words, unlike "you people" on the right.

Now that we have established that Ivins can think for herself, and doesn't like labels, we learn that she is not at all happy with Karl Rove's extrememly accurate statement about the liberal position on the war on terror. She is also not happy with what she sees in Iraq.

I think it has done nothing but harm to the United States of America. I think we have created more terrorists than we faced to start with and that our good name has been sullied. I think we have alienated our allies and have killed more Iraqis than Saddam Hussein ever did.

Molly Ivins can think for herself. She doesn't need Rush or Karl to think for her. She also doesn't need to rely on pesky statistics or even reality in forming those thoughts. She doesn't need a calculator to help her with the math, because math has nothing to do with it.

Molly Ivins thinks we have killed more Iraqi's than Hussein "ever did." Molly Ivins thinks Islamic terrorists were just a figment of our imagination before we invaded Iraq. Molly Ivins thinks freeing millions of people from oppression "sullies our good name."

Molly Ivins needs to stop thinking for herself. Molly Ivins needs an intellectual enema. Molly Ivins needs a first grade math education.
