Voting on the best looking quarter has finally come to a close at Radioblogger and alas, Minnesota was not quite able to overcome Colorado's quarter. I personally lost track of how many times I voted. (Relax people, it was an informal poll.)
The final tally breaks down this way:
Colorado 51% 1,815
Minnesota 49% 1,773
At one time the great State of Minnesota was within five votes but in the end, Colorado gets it's win with a lucky geological happenstance. I should have known early on, when Lileks ripped the Mn. quarter, that the jig was up. Oh well, the Gophers have a pretty good class of freshman coming up in hockey this year. We'll take it out on their netminders this winter.
