Is GLSEN Recruiting Kids Into Gay Lifestyle With Public Money?

There's more on the GLSEN controversy in Massachusetts, in which middle school students were exposed to graphic sexual material that is no less than pornographic. Article 8 Alliance has details on "The Little Black Book - Queer in the 21st century," the funding sources behind it, and the lies told by GLSEN in the wake of public scrutiny.

What is striking about the book is that it contains cartoon characters and graphics obviously designed to catch the eye of children, something that the cigarette makers got into a lot of trouble for. Even more appalling, the booklet reads like a gay recruitment manual.

Hey Queer Boys!

Welcome to queer life in the 21st Century.

Is this a great time to be gay or what? We are faced with challenges every day like the right to marry, homophobia, coming out, STD's and HIV?AIDS, but queers have never enjoyed more visibility and acceptance than today.

The Boston area is a good place to be young and queer. The city is fairly tolerant with a diverse and visible queer community. Queers are teachers, policeman, UPS drivers, waiters, politicians, doctors, artists, you name it. We have strong gay community institutions and lots of services for queer youth.

The booklet also tells kids that they have sexual rights and that they are, "the expert." Naturally, it then launches into all the great sex fun to be had by the adventerous individual.

"There is little risk of STD infection and no risk of AIDS from playing with pee."

"Jerking off together can be a hot and safer way to have fun."

"Avoid too much alcohol or drugs if you fist or get fisted...you might want to do your f**king before fisting."

The booklet even offers a list of Boston clubs for the "discerning queerboy." (Keep in mind that the material is being distributed to children.)

The booklet has come under fire from the medical community. Dr. John Diggs has published a statement highly critical of the framing and actual encouragement of risky sexual behavior that should also be read. Here is his conclusion.

It is alarming, disheartening, and medically unethical that this information be distributed to anyone. That it is distributed at taxpayer expense to vulnerable and confused youth should awaken every citizen and legislator to immediately defund this organization, and the attorney general to pursue prosecution for endangering minors on a grand scale.

Of course, we are supposed to just be okay with all of this and anyone who isn;t has been labeled as "anti-gay" by GLSEN and even the superintendent of schools. If that is so, why has GLSEN repeatedly lied through it's teeth regarding the controversy. Blaming the "far right" for "lying" before ultimately admitting they made this booklet available to middle school students.

Finally, make sure you check out the list of funding sources that made the book and the conference possible. Here are a few to get you started.

Sun Microsystems
The Boston Teachers Union (full-page ad in conference program)

American Cancer Society
American Diabetes Association

Governor Mitt Romney insisted in a statement that the booklet is "not a state funded publication," but at least three of the sources of funding are indeed public institutions. In the meantime, the Brookline Police originally denied any knowledge despite extensive newspaper coverage, and everyone from the school distict to the District Attorney to the Governor's office declines to talk about the matter.

Like most radical breaches of trust between the far left and families, this looks like it will be swept under the carpet by the very people who are supposed to insure it doesn't happen in the first place. What a disgrace Massachusetts is, don't you think?
