I finally had the chance to actually sit down and watch the first two episodes of "John Adams" on HBO.
HBO has done some incredible mini-series before, including "From the Earth to the Moon," and "Band of Brothers." "John Adams" is sure to be my favorite and, I think, may be the best yet.
The Arizona Republic doesn't like him, but I think Paul Giamatti is perfect. Of course, I also think he is perhaps the best actor of our time so I'm a tad biased.
So, check it out. And remember, an American with no understanding of its history can be of little use to it.
