Operation Family Support

The 2-135 Infantry Battalion has launched Operation Family Support, and effort to get those preparing for deployment to Kosovo back with their families for a brief stint between training and deployment. It would be a last chance to see wives, husbands, and kids before heading to Kosovo for a year:

Our goal is to raise enough money to contract buses to transport the soldiers from Indiana, where they are currently training, and bring them to back to Minnesota where they will spend 5 days with family. The cost to transport the unit will be $34,000 (5 buses at $6,800/ea).

The 2-135 IB has until August 24 to raise the funds. If you would like to contribute to this worthy cause, an account has been set up to accept donations.
