...of the Stanley Cup will be between the Dallas Stars and the Vancouver Canucks.
This has been a good series and, if you're not doing anything, I might suggest you check out the game on Monday night. I like the Stars mostly because I have followed the career of Mike Modano since he was drafted. We are almost the same age and he was drafted by the Minnesota North Stars at the age of 17. He holds the distinction of having scored more NHL goals than any other American born player.
How he can play hockey at the level he does, at his age, is beyond me. He scored the first goal tonight; a laser from the point on a power play.
A couple of years ago I saw him take a dump-in right on the bridge of his nose. It came apart like a grape. He went to the locker room, got about 15 stitches in three different directions, and returned for an effective third period.
That's pretty tough for a guy who was called "pretty boy" when he entered the league.
