Questions Avoided

O'Reilly featured some instructive man-on-the-street interviews with leaders of the anti-war movement last night.

Sean Penn on how we should handle the Iranian nuke problem:

By understanding that they're concerned that we've already developed nuclear weapons. And by talking to them having not defied the United Nations ourselves.

Understanding. Conversation. Check.

Jane Fonda on her concern level for Iraqi's who might suffer a horrible fate if we left the country:

I'm concerned about what's happening to the Iraqis right now.

Later is inconsequential. Check.

Fonda follows up when reminded of the millions of people killed when we left Vietnam:

It's too bad that we caused it to happen by going in there in the first place.

Too bad. America's fault. Check.

Susan Sarandon on her concern level for civilian casualties if we left:

Do you know how many civilian casualties there's been already in Iraq? 650,000.

Later is inconsequential, with a bogus number bonus. Check.

Tim Robbins on whether the country might see an escalating situation, especially if Iran got involved:

Well, I don't know. You seem to have some kind of support for the war. You're pretty young guy. So maybe you should enlist.

I don't know. Enlist. Check.

Just for the record, did a single question get answered?
