The Jerusalem Post has a stunning revelation today. Apparently, Hamas representatives have been involved in secret talks with the Democratic Party:
...sources close to the PA government claimed that Hamas representatives recently held talks with officials from the US Democratic Party at an undisclosed location.
That would pretty much make it official wouldn't it? A country no longer serious about fighting terrorism.
The report also notes that Hamas has been meeting with European officials who apparently are willing to trade Israel's right to exist for the illusion of a temporary peace:
According to the sources, Hamas has convinced European officials to accept the Islamist movement's plan for a long-term hudna (truce) as a substitute for recognizing Israel's right to exist.
If this is all true, it stands to reason that the goal of meetings with America's terrorist appeasers is the same. If the Democratic Party plans to trade away Israel's right to simply exist in order to pass off some lame claim of peace, they need to be up front about that right now. Answers are required.
Incidentally, "hudna" does not mean truce. A hudna is a claim of truce that allows for time to rebuild arsenals only to attack again when one least expects it. It is a tactical war maneuver, not a peace. Why the Jerusalem Post would refer to it as a truce, or the Democratic Party would accept hudna as a truce is beyond me. I do know the thought of a party that doesn't have a basic understanding of Islamic terminology making "peace" deals with terrorists doesn't exactly give me confidence.
On a sidenote, a Jimmy Carter aide has quit his post over errors and what he called Carter's "one-sided" view of the Palestine situation in Carter's new book. Somehow I doubt those errors favor Israel.
It looks like America could be back in business with terrorists again.
