E.J. Dionne today chastises Republicans for speaking plain english on what is obvious to most:
I bet the 145,000 free citizens of Connecticut who voted for Lamont will be shocked to learn that they were really sending signals of "retreat'' to "al-Qaeda types.''
More likely they will be shocked to learn they were sending messages of "redeployment" to the "freedom fighters."
